Amalgamated Sugar Company

Amalgamated Sugar produces sugar from sugarbeets grown by the ~750 members of our parent cooperative, Snake River Sugar Company. Headquartered in Boise, Idaho, Amalgamated Sugar is the second largest refiner and processor of sugar from sugarbeets in the United States.

The sugarbeets processed at Amalgamated Sugar are grown on approximately 180,000 acres across Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Once harvested, those sugarbeets are transported by truck to one of Amalgamated Sugar's three sugarbeet processing facilities across southern Idaho - in Nampa, Twin Falls, and Paul Idaho. The Company also operates a brown sugar production facility in Nyssa, Oregon.
