The Content Strategist and Copywriter is responsible for the creation and execution of brand and product storytelling across print, digital (video, social, eCommerce), packaging, and in-store channels. The strategist will work cross-functionally to understand consumer insights and behavior, merchandise growth strategy, and design inspiration to craft engaging content for all marketing channels.
The role will focus on shaping branded messaging and giving each product and story a unique angle and connection back to the larger brand narrative. This highly collaborative role reports to the Art Director and ensures that on-brand and strategic messaging is consistently communicated across channels. The strategist has a passion for both brand and product storytelling, finding unique ways to engage customers, prospects and the community across multiple touchpoints.
What Will You Be Doing?
Shape brand narrative to be reflective of brand heritage while modernizing to speak to current customers & appeal to the new generation of customers
Works closely with the eCommerce, Merchandising, Marketing, and Design teams to conceptualize seasonal product storytelling and work with internal partners and creative agencies to execute content plans and deliverables according to established strategy and intent.
Define a strategic approach to editorial content based on appropriate research activities and findings including persona studies.
Build actionable content roadmaps that serve as the backbone of content production and performance to fuel brand awareness, acquisition and customer growth.
Execute all product detail, email, on-site, digital and in-store copywriting needs to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
Support the social media team with social content + copywriting.
Drive month-to-month editorial strategy for email and social media.
Bachelor’s degree in English, Writing, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
3-5+ years of content strategy and copy experience across premium contemporary fashion, beauty, or lifestyle brands
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Thrives working under deadlines and with multiple projects simultaneously
Experience crafting a brand narrative that reflects consumer insights and brand marketplace positioning
Experience developing editorial content calendars
Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills
Strong understanding of the target audience and industry trends.
Proficiency with content management software (Asana), social media platforms, Google drives
Proven experience leading content strategy and digital roadmap projects in a complex business and marketing environment
Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative team spirit
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to channel constructive feedback to the success of the project at hand
