Job description

The Supplies Division within Agilent is growing its marketing team to support the growth in customer online buying activities. As an expert in digital marketing techniques with experience in the analytical chemistry or life sciences industry, you will work with the Supplies Digital Content Strategist, Product Management, and Digital Enablement team to:

  • Edit, implement, and coordinate informative, product, and search content for Supplies New Product Introductions & existing product portfolios according to digital marketing strategies and best processes.
  • Support Digital Marketing Strategist on SEO & product content improvement projects to increase .com visits and customer acquisition
  • Coordinate with product managers (global marketing program management or GMPM) team to gather & edit content for marketing projects, i.e. Google shopping ads, content inventory & audit
  • Optimize existing YouTube videos & develop social posts for Supplies portfolio to maintain top-of-mind awareness
  • Use data analytics to analyze content performance and find opportunities for product content optimization and cleanup and enlist support from the product management (PM) or GMPM team to implement changes
  • Troubleshoot content display issues and ensure that digital content is accurate, consistent, and complete while adhering to digital, editorial, SEO, and brand standards
  • Ensure online store elements are accurately run across data platforms (SAP, PLM, PIM, etc)
  • Provide feedback on optimizing content for search engines
  • Analyze performance and web feedback, and use that data to regularly reevaluate web content guidelines and recommended content practices
  • Lead, coordinate, and prioritize tactics for assigned projects, delivering on time and on plan
  • Analyze internal and external customer needs, address customer feedback, and participate in voice of customer studies and content optimization projects to improve the presentation of content

Required Key Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of current best practices for digital marketing including familiarity with software platforms such as Google Analytics and BrightEdge. Understands appropriate usage of digital tools while understanding marketing programs, mapping the customer buying journey and how to bring to bear appropriate technologies to support/improve results.
  • Understanding of web subject areas such as user experience, taxonomy and tagging, information architecture, content marketing, componentized content, digital marketing, analytics, and testing
  • Impeccable writing, grammar, and proofreading skills and sophisticated knowledge of English usage (grammar, spelling, punctuation, language usage, audience sensitivity) and scientific content types
  • Ability to focus on details and set high standards for content quality
  • Strong project management skills and ability to collaborate across multiple functions and teams
  • Highly motivated with a demonstrated ability to take initiative to drive content improvements

Education

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Sciences, or equivalent experience

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in the aftermarket, consumables or services business across any industry
  • Prior experience in leading marketing and product content on websites within content management systems
  • Experience with web page creation, SEO marketing automation and other digital marketing strategies
  • Experience in working as a part of a global multicultural matrix organization
  • Experience at an analytical instrument, life sciences, or technology company preferred
