Job description

Amazon Operations sits at the heart of the Amazon customer experience. We look after everything from the moment a customer clicks buy; to the moment their item is delivered – from desktop to doorstep. We do things on a massive scale – millions of packages pass through the hands of our Associates every year. As a business, we do lots of things to attract, engage, support, motivate and enable the brilliant people who make it all happen.

At the forefront of that effort, in Europe, sits our Workforce Staffing Marketing Team – a collective of talented individuals managing the media & marketing strategy, reporting, modelling & analytics, tools & systems. Our goal is attracting hundreds of thousands of associates yearly for various operational business lines (fulfilment centers, transportation, and logistics).

We are looking for a Senior Content Strategist to produce rich and engaging multimedia content that informs, educates, and inspires people to apply for a warehouse job at Amazon. You respond to business and brand goals by developing the EU content roadmap strategy. You use candidate and market research and insights to define precise content calendar, production and implementation principles per markets. You use data-driven decision making and your in-depth knowledge of multimedia content strategy to launch experiences that empower potential candidates with the information they need. The successful candidate is an expert in creating world-class digital content across platforms and mediums. You seek for optimization and think scalability; you know how to make the most of a content piece. You move quickly to identify opportunities, test, learn and expand at scale.

Internally you seek for best employees’ stories to feature in your content calendar, you advocate for Employee Generated Content (EGC) as a way to build employer brand trust, you put in place the program that facilitates the discovery of those stories and their communication.

You are highly collaborative, detail-oriented and a strong communicator, working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders. You partner with the Tech & Systems and Analytics teams to improve content implementation and performance tracking across owned channels, with the brand media manager to identify the pieces of content that can be sponsored and with a number of external to the marketing team stakeholders to amplify the use of the created content across the Amazon candidate journey and ecosystem.

You are the right person for this role if you are a self-starter who demonstrates the ability to lead projects from medium to large sized, ranging in complexity, and working autonomously in a fast-paced environment. You should be comfortable in ambiguity, enjoy problem-solving, and have a clear point of view and creative vision. Working with global stakeholders, this role will seek to understand the business priorities necessary to ensure consistency of style and quality across multiple content types.

It will be essential to organize your own work and that of others supporting your projects, with clear communication and documentation to manage and deliver multiple medium and large complexity projects in parallel. You’ll do this while continuing to input into wider strategy discussions. The ability to optimize standard work, develop innovative strategies, and influence technical solutions, will be critical deliverables in this role.

This role can be based in Milan, Italy or London, United Kingdom and reports to the EU Snr. Marketing Manager Employer Brand & Creatives. This is an individual contributor role focused on multimedia content strategy development and project delivery. Team members and colleagues are located across US and European sites, so working via online collaboration is critical.
