Global Talent Management (GTM) is looking for a Senior UX writer to raise the bar on messaging to Amazon employees globally and help define the future of how Amazon scales and supports its global workforce. We're dedicated to transforming HR products and experiences for employees throughout their career at Amazon.

This writer will be a fierce advocate for all of our employees globally—distilling complex problems into simple, savvy messaging and in-product experiences. You tirelessly work to understand how our employees think and speak to identify language that is both useful and natural. You collaborate with designers, product managers, researchers, developers, public relations and communications, to craft solutions that simple, impactful, and strategically sound. You quickly become the expert of your domain, proactively gathering research and data about the products and services to which you provide content to inform your decisions. You understand that content is a significant part of the customer experience, and work closely with design to ensure the text and visuals achieve a perfect harmony. You'll work closely with key stakeholders, development and product partners to deliver innovative end-to-end solutions that hundreds of thousands of Amazonians use every day to manage their careers.

Core responsibilities

  • Craft clear, concise UI text, guidance, and learning materials to improve user experiences throughout
  • Anticipate customer needs and write innovative and simplified solutions to customer issues
  • Develop strategies and content for internal and external communications.
  • Work with Amazon PR and internal communications
  • Share your expertise with GTM partners and influence product strategy, driving mindful discussions with product managers, UX designers, engineers, and stakeholders
  • Independently own ambiguous global projects

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years UX writing, content design or similar role
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Obsession for driving a best-in-class experience for customers
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and analytics platforms
  • Must be proficient in English with exceptional US-based grammar and copywriting skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with large-scale systems and applications
  • Experience in PR or communications
  • Experience in talent management
  • Working knowledge of the design process and UX design principles
  • Proven ability to present to all levels within an organization, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience developing content solutions that scale for a global audience
