Amazon Web Services is seeking a Content Manager to join the AWS Partner Network (APN) Communications Team with a focus on enabling our team to effectively communicate the value of the AWS Partner Network’s (APN) told through the lens of our AWS Partners.

As an AWS Content Manager, you will create, edit, project-manage, and deploy communications to be distributed to our partners, customers, and internal organization. You will be responsible for developing and delivering the strategy for partner references, and work cross-collaboratively across teams to drive alignment, excitement, and clarity across a variety of reference assets that we create for the AWS Partner Network. You will have a firm understanding of our audiences and identify partner success stories which demonstrate how AWS Partners leverage our APN Programs to transform their business and generate AWS customer success.

You will work cross-collaboratively across teams to drive alignment, excitement, and clarity across a variety of reference assets that we create for the AWS Partner Network. You will be responsible for developing and reviewing assets that are best-in-class by bringing a strong attention to detail and clarity of voice, as well as thorough knowledge of grammar and style guidelines. In addition, you will work on delivering a robust promotional plan, working with several members of the APN Programs and Communications teams to edit messaging, social media content, digital ads, blogs, and website copy, leveraging insights to influence your intended audience.

The ideal candidate will have experience copywriting and editing marketing/reference content in a corporate communications, marketing, or PR environment. You will assist in collecting, synthesizing and editing content, as well as developing content from scratch. You will also be the final editor ensuring all messaging is on strategy, on voice, and error-free. You should be proficient in creating and editing content in a corporate environment, effectively managing internal and external stakeholders, style and branding guidelines, and PR requirements.

This position can be based in Seattle, WA; Austin, TX; San Francisco, CA; Jersey City, NJ; Boston, MA or Arlington, VA. Relocation offered to these locations only.

A successful candidate will:

  • Possess superior writing and editing skills.
  • Quickly dive into AWS’ writing culture, learning the company’s style guidelines and ensuring that they are applied correctly to all written deliverables.
  • Develop relevant, technically accurate reference assets and marketing materials in a variety of content mediums (e.g. case studies, blogs, presentations).
  • Project manage communications in an environment with competing priorities and deliverables.
  • Solid project management skills and experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ensure all partner references content and copy developed by internal writers, freelancers, or third-party agencies maintains consistency in voice, messaging, accuracy, and meets our high standards.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications or applicable field.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in customer/partner references, communication, and content development.
  • 2+ years of experience in creating, writing and editing content for internal and external audiences.
  • 2+ years of experience working with external vendors/agencies for messaging/communications support.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional organization.
  • A team player with the ability to influence, work cross-functionally, build relationships with key stakeholders, and thrive highly collaborative fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent project management skills; highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Interest in building global programs and processes.
  • Experience in marketing B2B technology products or services strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to work independently or in ambiguous circumstances.
  • Familiarity with partner and/or technology marketing.
  • Experience with third-party email creation tools and WordPress.

The base pay range for this position in Colorado is $93,300k - 160,000k per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act.
