Job description

As a Technical Writer on the WWSO Solutions Product & Technology team, you will work within a stellar global team of Solution Architects, editors, and content strategists to publish Guidance content (prescriptive architectural diagrams, sample code, and technical content) to the AWS Solutions Library. What makes this role exciting? It’s a great opportunity to partner with like-minded individuals who are similarly obsessed with helping our customers build their success on AWS. In this role, you will work with solution builders, subject matter experts, and content strategists to create digital assets that help customers solve their common business and technical challenges using opinionated guidance from AWS. You will use your writing and editorial expertise to ensure that all written materials for Guidance assets meet brand standards, as well as program standards for consistency and accuracy. And your knowledge of SEO best practices will optimize content for search.

The ideal candidate has excellent writing, editing, time management, and communication skills. You bring a critical eye in support of what our technical customers need. You understand the need to balance perfection with the speed of delivery, and are able to apply the right level of editing as needed. You understand how to deliver content well-optimized for search engines. You are curious and enjoy learning new technologies. As a strong collaborator, you have a backbone and advocate on behalf of our customers, yet you are able to commit and disagree when needed. Your technical background enables you to interact effectively with Solutions Architects and other technical roles. We provide a safe environment to explore, experiment and iterate in support of better customer experiences.

Key job responsibilities
