Responsibilities Overview

This new role will be an integral part of the Global Lead Gen and Acquisition Marketing team, reporting to the Website Manager and working closely with GBTs’ technology and Web development team.  As Web Content Manager for https://www.amexglobalbusinesstravel.com/, you will help administer the website strategy to create high-quality, engaging website content that drives lead generation.  You will be responsible for keeping content and design current on multi-language websites (7 locales) per specific goals and projects, as well as assisting with Website QA, optimization, and maintenance.  This is a contract-based position with the potential for full-time. New York-based/Virtual.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Web Content Management

  • Create new pages and content in WordPress CMS
  • Maintain and update web content on multi-language websites – 7 locales
  • Raise and follow up on website issues with the Dev team, ensuring prompt remediation

Project Management

  • Work closely with Website Manager on website overhaul, re-design, and integration workstreams, liaising with relevant stakeholders to ensure optimal UX
  • Help coordinate projects with other digital channel owners (External Communications, Product and Technology, Lead Gen, Content, Customer Marketing, Chatbot, etc.) to develop and execute a holistic digital experience
  • Coordinate translations with translation services and stakeholders

Quality Assurance (QA)

  • Partner with technology on the QA process during infrastructure updates and upgrades
  • Verify and validate new content prior to deployment
  • Regularly monitor key assets of the Website to ensure the proper functioning

Other: Keep up to date with UX, Analytics, SEO, Web design, and Digital Marketing best practices.

Skill & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or related certificate is a plus
  • 2 years or more experience integrating and managing web content in CMS, preferably WordPress
  • Basic knowledge of SEO and its application in a CMS
  • Strong computer skills
  • Basic Photoshop skills to reformat and resize images
  • Experience with QA methods a +
  • Basic HTML is a huge plus but not required
  • Keen attention to details
  • Strong project management skills to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritize projects effectively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of Spanish, French and/or German is a plus but not required
  • Self-motivated individual with self-management and organizational skills
