As a Technical Documentation Content Strategist you will be researching, organizing, and managing documentation and tools for Frostbite and game team engineers. You will work side-by-side with Frostbite Engineers and experts to help them share their knowledge. Documentation encompasses words, images, videos, diagrams, and animations hosted on wikis, Google sites, comments in code, and GitLab.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a blend of creativity, analysis, and engineering focus to implement scalable, full lifecycle content management practices.
  • Scope documentation and information access requirements across multiple delivery channels to deliver sustainable and performant documentation solutions.
  • Design information architectures for an evolving, collaborative culture where everyone creates and shares documentation.¬†¬†
  • Drive consensus on project objectives and content governance plans to support business priorities.

Tasks

  • Audit all locations of Frostbite technical documentation (blogs, how-tos, diagrams, videos, and code snippets) and assess state and last updated.
  • Create a content strategy plan that includes a recommended information architecture, engineering workflows, documentation tools or information gaps.
  • Research and recommend documentation platforms to host and maintain technical documentation, including dynamic rendering solutions from comments with the engine code base.
  • Consult on best practices to create and maintain platform architectural diagrams.
  • Partner with area stakeholders to prioritize, organize, create, and update technical documentation.¬†
  • Work with engineering and analytics to implement documentation portal usage data. Share this data with experts to inform priorities and plans.¬†
  • Evangelize the use of newly created and updated technical documentation across technical community channels.
  • Participate in Slack channels and Stack Overflow conversations to identify information gaps or promote new technical documentation.
  • As needed, write, edit, and create technical documentation.
