About the Team 

This team creates experiences and designs the websites, tools, and mobile solutions for millions of customers and associates. As a part of the design team at the forefront of retail, you will be responsible for executing best-in-class experiences that drive continuous improvement and innovation in the world’s largest company. As a Technical UX Writer, you’ll ensure all content is purposeful, clear and consistent while adhering to established style guidelines. You have a sharp eye for detail, are proficient in working alongside product designers in Figma and can communicate your rationale for content decisions. You distill complex, technical information with ease and clarity to empower end-users. You approach copy feedback and edits from partners with a positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to learn and grow. Additionally, you’ll participate in content audits and the quality assurance (VQA) phases of projects to help ensure all final copy has been correctly implemented online.  

On the Enterprise Services team, you’ll help Design best-in-class experiences for our partners and home office associates, reimagining what it’s like to work with and for Walmart. Collaborating with design, business partners, and product partners, you’ll ensure all content is purposeful, clear and consistent, adhering to established style guidelines. 

You’ll sweep us off our feet if you have… 

  • 4+ years working as a Content Strategist, Conversational Designer, Copyeditor, UX Designer, UX Writer or in a relevant field in a consumer-focused business/product. 
  • A strong writing background that brings together brand voice and systems thinking. You write for accessibility and believe in inclusion.? 
  • Recognized expertise in content design and UX writing principles and practices.? 
  • Experience across all aspects of the product cycle, including user research, collaborative ideation, writing, prototyping, testing, and optimizing. 
  • Strong understanding of experience principles and customer needs such as motivations and behaviors, with the ability to translate them into engaging and actionable deliverables 
  • A strategic mindset and a system thinking approach to taking the complex and making it simple. 
  • Ability to produce great work in a short timeframe and adapt to the ever-changing priorities of the business.
  • A self-starter mindset who is well organized and always looking to improve things.

  • Staying up to date with the latest trends, in and out of retail.? 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Degree in Communications, Information Architecture, Digital Design,or similar and at least 4+ years of experience in product design. 
  • Have a fantastic portfolio of content design solutions that drive results.? 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
