Do you have a passion for creative storytelling? Are you strategic, collaborative, and thrive in a fast-paced environment? Do you have experience managing a creative team?

Our client, a Chicago-based digital marketing agency, is looking for seasoned individuals who have the ability to act as a central leader of an interdisciplinary content team full-time.

You Will:

  • Oversee process and creative execution
  • Contribute to the creative process as needed
  • Oversee strategic implementation of company initiatives, ranging from ongoing content work to launching digital campaigns, website development and new client acquisition
  • Work alongside accounts team to gather business requirements and translate them into effective, user-centered creative content
  • Develop content strategies to guide production and identify potential issues and risks for overall project timing and quality
  • Review performance across all digital channels
  • Integrate best practices of paid search and social media
  • Push the teams and their projects to new heights
  • Help guide creative direction for client projects from concept to completion
  • Collaborate with Writers, Content Strategists, Video Producers, Web Developers and Account Managers to ensure all assignments are on-brand and client deadlines are met
  • Incorporate current design trends into each unique layout to produce an up-to-date style for custom content that is optimized for each platform
  • Delegate assignments to internal and freelance content editors, copywriters, art directors and graphic designers to serve multiple departments
  • Contribute to client pitches

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of relevant experience; agency or newsroom experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of SEO principles, strategy, and execution
  • Willingness to stay up to speed with content management programs such as WordPress, Pardot, and HubSpot
  • A risk-taker and digital innovator
  • A thorough understanding of digital content strategy and its role in the digital customer experience ecosystem
  • The ability to generate and expand project requirements and identify the right solutions to meet them
  • Detail-oriented; productive without compromising quality
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize to meet daily deadlines and capable of operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Triple threat: Ability to strategize, edit and design
  • Exceptional writing and editing abilities, including proficiency in AP Style
  • Professional design expertise, including ability to navigate platforms such as the Adobe Suite and Canva
  • Excellent time management, problem-solving and organizational skills

Logistics:

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Interview Process: 1-2 virtual, they will be ready to make a decision after the second interview
  • Onsite/offsite: Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days remote)
  • Laptop Required: No
  • Team Structure: Will report to the VP of accounts. This position will also have a team under them - Art Director, Graphic Designer, Content Editor, Copywriter, and a few other creative positions will report directly to the Content Director
