Beacons Point is a video-first content marketing agency and Platinum-certified HubSpot Solutions Partner headquartered in beautiful, sunny North County San Diego. We’re looking for a talented, critical-thinking Content Strategist ready to make a difference and build their future with us. This is a mid-level position for someone with experience managing content marketing and promotion strategies for several client accounts and projects at the same time while contributing to the growth of a vibrant digital marketing agency. As our Content Strategist, you’ll work on our Content team, which leads and executes our clients’ marketing campaigns. This role is perfect for a creative content marketer who loves to develop unique content ideas, writes compelling content, and constantly strives to exceed client expectations. It demands a confident, detail-oriented individual with experience leading strategy, setting goals, building relationships, analyzing data, and delivering successful campaign results in a fast-paced environment. We’ll also ask you to support company growth goals, review agency marketing plans, and generally, be awesome. 

Your Responsibilities 

  • Lead the overall strategy and content execution for the client across relevant digital channels and properties
  • Work with the Director of Content to refine and optimize content, promotion strategies, and content deliverables
  • Develop project roadmaps alongside our Client Success Manager to establish operational priorities and deliverable deadlines
  • Utilize SEMRush and HubSpot to perform keyword/topic research, create SEO topic strategies, and track keyword performance
  • Develop content outlines and interface directly with clients to produce finished content pieces
  • Interview subject matter experts for content pieces
  • Prepare content outlines with interview transcripts for external writing vendors
  • Write blogs/articles and other types of content, including video scripts, landing pages, website page copy, email and social media copy
  • Follow best practices for on-page SEO and writing styles
  • Set goals and track performance for each client campaign
  • Lead promotional strategies for the content we produce for the client
  • Conceptualize and execute A/B or multivariate testing on landing pages, thank-you pages, calls-to-action, and emails
  • Lead what we call our “Blueprint Strategy Project, a strategy development exercise, for new clients
  • Perform content audits for clients
  • Effectively self-manage project and task deadlines
  • Work with the Client Success Manager to deliver reporting and performance analysis to the client monthly while providing recommendations to improve upon observed results
  • Help plan and execute our company content marketing efforts
  • Show energy and enthusiasm in propelling the success of each client account

We Need You To Have the Following

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least two years of experience in a content development role
  • Experience with SEO tools and practices
  • Expert, fluent command of writing and editing in English
  • Competent understanding of the inbound marketing methodology
  • Master skills with the Microsoft Office and Google Drive applications
  • Solid understanding of major social media platforms
  • Fluent knowledge of content management systems
  • Good knowledge of digital advertising management platforms 

It Would Be Great If You Have the Following

  • HubSpot Inbound and Content Marketing certifications
  • SEO software certifications
  • Knowledge of data visualization platforms and reporting practices
  • Experience working with video production teams
