The Senior Content Marketing Manager at Blue Acorn iCi is responsible for writing and producing various types of content to expand our company’s digital footprint, build awareness, and generate leads for the organization. The role develops ideas and creates content that supports the overall marketing campaigns to drive leads. The Senior Content Marketing Manager must be self-motivated, proactive and have an assertive yet professional demeanor, be detail-oriented, and possess strong multitasking and program management skills. Must have experience in the B2B SaaS/Tech services industry with an enterprise-level target audience.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Create, distribute and promote highly relevant, valuable, measurable and compelling content necessary to attract, acquire and engage target audiences across the US to achieve growth objectives.
  • Write original content of various types including thought leadership articles, ad copy, blog posts, eBooks, newsletters, website copy, press releases, infographics, podcasts, videos, email messaging, webinars, event presentations, social media, digital ads, sales enablement tools, white papers, and case studies, etc.
  • Define content themes (and pillars) and determine the appropriate mix of top, middle, and bottom of funnel content in collaboration with the Marketing Team.
  • Analyze content performance across the funnel and make data-driven decisions to maximize content impact by identifying successes, failures, and areas of opportunity of campaign messaging and content (including ad effectiveness and email nurturing engagement) that can be addressed going forward. Establish content success metrics, review engagement statistics, and recommend enhancements.
  • Responsible for effective project management of content production from ideation to distribution including 3rd party programs. Proactively manage programs by establishing a detailed plan, effectively communicating progress, escalating issues or roadblocks, ensure up-to-date status and timely delivery of programs.
  • Create and maintain a content marketing pipeline, library, and editorial calendar (across the website, social channels, etc.) and take a proactive approach to ensure updates to relevant, existing content to extend the life of content.
  • Own the blog, including ideation, content, cadence, proofreading, editing, publishing
  • Write and manage content production including executive perspectives, bylines, white papers, blog articles, case studies, eBooks, videos, infographics, and a variety of other content types
  • Write for humans – in our brand voice, optimize for SEO with our target audience in mind
  • Be the subject matter expert for across-the-funnel messaging as pertains to buyer personas and content, and articulate the vision and strategy in a consumable format
  • Continue optimization of messaging strategy to ensure we are delivering a clear value proposition to the right audiences. Consistently craft email subject lines and body copy that maintain or increase open and click-through rates.
  • Oversee all written elements of brand communication, ensuring all written materials clearly and creatively communicate strategies and brands across all mediums.
  • Develop success measures and track content KPIs in order to continuously evolve our content strategy and prioritize the content plan.
  • Responsible for identifying and executing opportunities to improve our company’s and our content’s search rank for key terms at the top, middle, and bottom (branded) of our marketing funnel.
  • Accountable for ensuring regular updates are made to website and social media properties to maintain fresh content and presence. Stay up to date with the latest trends and changes with SEO and major search engines.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with Sales, Partner and Client teams on marketing initiatives that will support revenue growth.
  • Edit, proofread and improve content written by others to ensure materials meet key objectives and to ensure pieces are error-free and the company voice and brand tone are consistent and on point.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our sales target audience, motivators, pain points, and personalities and use that to define and execute the content marketing strategy to deeply connect with our target audience.
  • Think strategically about how content scales across channels and devices to create a holistic experience across touchpoints.
  • Refine the brand voice, and ensure it evolves over time as necessary within the Infosys ecosystem.
  • Partner closely with teams across the business – including Infosys - to ensure alignment and consistency in the messaging and delivery of materials. Work with partners and internal subject matter experts to define and drive key messages for content.
  • Act as a demand generation SME by helping identify and document industry best practices in content marketing and discover potentially lucrative content partnerships, syndication, and amplification opportunities.
  • Manage other marketing initiatives as needed.
  • Be an advocate for the Blue Acorn iCi brand and voice. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communication or related field.
  • Must have experience in the B2B SaaS/Tech services industry with the enterprise target audience.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role within a similar B2B or consulting industry.
  • B2B lead-generating content marketing experience with a proven track record of generating leads and pipelines via strategic content marketing initiatives.
  • Experience with WordPress and website content optimization.
  • Experience with MarketMuse and content optimization
  • Able to learn and adapt to writing in the brand voice - and ensure the brand voice is evolving along with the company.
  • Ability to work effectively on multiple projects/campaigns at once, often under tight deadlines Ability to multitask with multiple deadlines, manage time effectively, establish priorities, and communicate expectations to stakeholders.
  • Experience with content marketing measurement tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, MOZ, etc. and proficiency in web analytics software and keyword tools.
  • Familiarity with CAN-SPAM regulations.
  • Thorough knowledge of search ranking and optimization factors and key algorithm updates.
  • Well-organized with excellent planning and project management skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced environment with an ongoing chance.
  • Commitment to stay on top of emerging content marketing trends.
