Key Role:

  • Write, edit, and manage technical documentation.
  • Apply advanced consulting and extensive technical writing expertise to various DoD documentation projects.
  • Ensure that requirements are met, and documentation is clear, concise, and understandable to its intended audience, present and future.
  • Exercise quality control over documents intended for internal and external distribution. Interpret and coordinate documentation and communication policies and procedures.
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Handle classified information. 
  • This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with writing, editing, and managing technical documentation for DoD applications, missions, or initiatives
  • Experience with enforcing quality standards for the delivery, applying template formats, and tracking documents through a development process
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office tools and applications, including Word, Adobe, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Knowledge of handling, marking, and tracking of classified material and DoD Issuance Style Guides, including AP, Chicago, APA, or MLA style guides
  • Ability to reduce or synthesize material into a concise language to help users and clients fully understand the content
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, or Journalism

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in working with government contracts
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal, organizational, and teambuilding skills
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master’s degree

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is outlined below.

Colorado: $56,900 - $116,300 (annualized USD)

New York (including New York City): $59.700 - $137,400 (annualized USD)
