Job description

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a member of BCG’s Content Studio, digital content managers will ensure that the firm’s digital presence—which captures its insights, expertise, and capabilities—advances its marketing priorities.

They will stay up to date on best practices for developing, curating, and promoting content online and across digital channels. They will be well-versed in SEO strategies and user experience best practices and will harness the power of metrics to inform and refine BCG’s approach to digital content marketing. They will take ownership of creating and implementing processes and strategies that enable BCG to get the most out of its digital content.

Collaboration is key. Digital content managers will work closely with BCG teams and experts as thought partners and communication experts, with a view toward maximizing reach and engagement across channels. They will work closely with our digital team as well as with others across Global Marketing including our email, social media, analytics, and SEO teams.

As part of their role, digital content managers will apply their strong digital marketing and editorial skills to help amplify BCG’s priority topics. They will be comfortable leading and contributing to agile, special projects in parallel to executing against an “always-on” content distribution strategy.

The digital content manager will report to the Deputy Editorial Director and will be an integral part of BCG’s Content Studio, which is part of the firm’s Global Marketing function.

YOU'RE GOOD AT

  • Executing against marketing priorities by applying sound editorial judgment and strong project management and communication skills.
  • Staying abreast of the market-leading themes on their beat and making recommendations for new and innovative content, including interactive pieces and features.
  • Working closely with digital marketing, topic marketing, and leadership teams to develop and execute plans for message distribution across digital properties and channels.
  • Applying a deep understanding of digital marketing channels and the respective metrics that indicate progress to objective, and using metrics to inform content strategy.
  • Actively building relationships across Global Marketing, operating as part of an integrated team, and looking for opportunities to contribute expertise.
  • Utilizing internal communication tools, including Slack and Trello, to help manage projects and stay connected to various efforts and priorities in Global Marketing.
  • Contributing to projects and initiatives geared toward improving the quality and reach of our content as well as the ways we work together to produce and share content.
  • Taking action or making recommendations to help move work forward, and showing initiative in solving problems and overcoming challenges.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with demonstrated high academic achievement
  • Minimum 10 years of work experience in a professional environment

YOU'LL WORK WITH

Members of BCG's Global Marketing team as well as Practice Area marketers and key stakeholders throughout the organization.
