What's your role?

As a Senior Content Designer at Bupa Health Insurance, you’ll lead strategic content initiatives across our digital channels, ensuring our content is simple, user-centric, and compliant with legal standards. You’ll conduct user research and testing to create customer-focused content, manage content quality to align with our brand guidelines, and develop comprehensive content roadmaps and plans. Your goal is to ensure consistency and alignment across all content within our Sales and Service programs, creating cohesive digital experiences.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including UX researchers, product designers, and engineers, to drive content design and strategy. You’ll be responsible for strategy, operations, and mentoring, playing a crucial role in building a world-class content design capability. If you’re passionate about creating impactful, user-friendly content and mentoring other content designers, this role is perfect for you!

Reporting to the Content Design Manager we have 2 opportunities available:

A permanent full-time position along with a 12mth Fixed term contract role. These roles can be based anywhere in Australia (Bupa offers flexible working and this team works fully remote for the most part).

What will your day involve?

• User – Centred Content Design: Lead digital content strategy and create scalable design artefacts. Use analytics and customer insights for content optimization and evidence-based recommendations. Translate user and business requirements into compelling, inclusive, and accessible experiences.
• Content Quality Management: Ensure content aligns with Bupa’s voice, tone, brand, and design guidelines, and maintain high standards through proofreading and editing. Coach team members on content creation and provide constructive feedback, while managing the content lifecycle with regular reviews and updates. Implement quality assurance activities, develop a content ownership structure with expert reviews, and ensure compliance with legislation and guidelines.
• Content Leadership and Planning: Nurture a content-first design culture by collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver seamless content experiences. Develop and manage content roadmaps, milestones, and plans, while supporting ongoing optimization and content design principles. Conduct content audits, improve team forecasting, and collaborate on SEO strategies to ensure content adheres to best practices.
• Coaching and Mentoring: Lead the development of a strong digital content culture by organizing learning events, promoting design principles, and celebrating successes to boost team engagement and attract top talent. Identify skill gaps, support ongoing optimization, and establish events to promote digital content activities and insights throughout the company.

What will I bring?

To be considered for this role you will have:

• Leverage Your Expertise: Bring your 5+ years of experience in UX content design or product content design to make a significant impact.
• Showcase Your Skills: Utilize your tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, or a related field, and your knowledge of information architecture design.
• Drive Impactful Content: Manage distributed authoring models and deliver personalized content at scale while adhering to quality standards.
• Optimize with Data: Apply your strong background in using data and research to enhance content performance and drive results.
