Business Solver is seeking a Content Designer to support Sofia, Benefitsolver’s intelligent personal benefits assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and communicating a meaningful Sofia conversational experience. In this role, you will work to create a human-centered machine learning and artificial intelligence designs that ultimately solve issues related to health benefits.

The Gig:

  • Model and format content into viable, feasible, and desirable intelligent solutions
  • Tailor responses across experience modalities (chat and voice)
  • Design messaging and notifications taxonomies to describe, organize, and control product content and messaging channels
  • Edit and contribute to design and content in Figma or other design tools

Duties include but are not limited to...

Content Creation & Management:

  • Consolidating and optimizing current conversational response workflow
  • Audit and assess messaging and comms across product families and work with the team to propose solutions
  • Defining and applying consistent voice and tone throughout the content journey across multiple personas
  • Writing, curating, and editing content for accuracy, clarity, and usability 
  • Simplifying complex content for users 
  • Creating content that drives user actions 

Data-Driven Content Design Practices:

  • Researching and studying the healthcare benefits and context to inform content 
  • Developing new conversational themes and content using current content design trends/best practices
  • Defining content goals and journeys based on user/customer goals and usage metrics

Interdisciplinary Collaboration:

  • Partnering with Product Management and User Experience Research to refine Sofia's content, voice, and tone
  • Facilitating weekly meetings with -Product Management to review bi-weekly refinements, new content, content optimization, and new work
  • Give and solicit feedback from UX and product partners
  • Experience designing content for health benefits is a plus

What you need to make the cut:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Literature, Journalism, Human-Computer Interaction Design, or another relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Deep knowledge of design principles and methods. You are a designer who works with words
  • 5+ years experience as a content designer, content strategist, information architect, UX writer, or similar role with a UX or product design team
  • An online portfolio of relevant work samples. SaaS work samples are a plus
  • Ability to simplify and communicate complex concepts to a diverse audience
  • Proven systems thinking, with the ability to quickly learn about technical systems
  • Design thinking and UX experience
  • Experience working directly with product designers, product marketers, product managers, marketing copywriters, and researchers, driving projects that have a major customer impact
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects with minimal direction and managing ambiguity
  • Push and evolve content frameworks and patterns based on brand guidelines
  • Collaborate effectively with other designers, content strategists, product managers, marketers, and researchers
  • Solicit feedback and contribute constructively to design reviews
  • Work on multiple projects at a time, using strong communication skills to manage time and expectations appropriately
  • Curiosity and commitment to testing new ideas and innovating to drive business results
  • Effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating your craft and collaborative process

The pay range for this position is 100K to 125K per year (pay to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data). 

This role is eligible to participate in the annual bonus incentive plan.
