Job description

Our consulting firm is seeking an enthusiastic eLearning Content Editor with exceptional attention to detail who assists our Product Development & Instructional Design team with ensuring our training products meet the highest standards in terms of content, user experience, and adult learning principles. This FT permanent individual will establish, document, implement and evaluate quality assurance control measures to ensure consistent brand standards are met for our training products hosted on our proprietary learning management system (LMS), prosolutionstraining.com

The role also develops and maintains accreditations and articulation agreements and assists with the national course and trainer approvals and registries. The eLearning Content Editor administers high-quality standards within the team and cross-functionally to minimize product defects, maximize customer outcomes, and support growth in sales and revenue.

The ideal candidate should also have/be:

  • Local to the Atlanta area
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communicates in a manner that elicits positive results
  • Excellent writing, editing, proof-reading, and analytical skills
  • Proficient in applying the principles of style guides and APA and/or AMA standards to products
  • Creative problem-solving skills: ability to make decisions and see things through to completion
  • Self-starter ready to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Adept at providing training and technical assistance
  • Works well in a team environment, yet is also self-directed
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining progress toward meeting deadlines
  • Strong technical aptitude: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) 

The eLearning Content Editor plays a vital role in our company. Key job responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with Instructional Design, Product Development, Marketing, Accounts Management, and I.T. departments
  • Manage new and existing product pipelines and timelines
  • Provide final review and edits of all new content products to ensure quality and consistency in terms of content, layout, grammar, punctuation, capitalization, formatting, etc. prior to taking products to market
  • Perform audits of existing course modules, document and track functionality issues, make design recommendations based on user experience testing and established standards; ensure content is complete and free from errors and defects, including audio and video components
  • Collaborate with team on content product development strategies and timelines
  • Review and monitor course evaluations; make recommendations for corrections, changes, or updates to content and technology products
  • Develop, document, and train staff on QA standards for our products
  • Design a workflow for consistent product inspection to ensure maximum efficiencies with our product design-to-market processes
  • Manage team accountability to practice and style standards and product inspection compliance
  • Develop a schedule for reviewing new and existing content products (courses, curricula, related applications) to ensure the timely release of new content products
  • Support work with technology team regarding new course development, LMS and associated web pages, course building, course deployment, and course modifications/updates; manage technology requests in Jira
  • Assist with the coordination of Spanish and other language content translations
  • Develop and manage articulation agreements
  • Manage national accreditation approval applications (e.g., IACET), compliance, and related documentation
  • Assist in the maintenance of trainer, training organization, and registry membership renewals
  • Assist in the management of professional development requirements for trainers and maintain documentation
  • Represent the company at conferences, meetings, and other external events, as requested
  • Assist in conference proposal development and/or editorial review, as requested
  • Review and edit newsletters and email communications, as requested
  • Support monthly data reporting, tracking and analysis

Requirements:

  • Must pass a Georgia background check
  • Must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination status
  • Bachelor’s degree, or 3+ years of experience in English, journalism, language arts, education, leadership development, or related field, required
  • General copy-editing knowledge/experience
  • Experience with quality control practices and applying and maintaining process standards
  • Experience using APA and/or AMA writing standards
  • Familiarity with adult learning and instructional design principles, including online learning, preferred
  • Familiarity with early childhood development, early education, social services, or human resources/soft skills, preferred
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish, helpful
