We’re looking for an experienced Senior Content Designer to work with our team of researchers, designers, product managers and engineers to plan, create and continually evolve the content for Cazoo products. You’ll need to be able to plan and write content for mobile and web interfaces, including interaction flows, and microcopy. You’ll join our in-house product team who play a central role in building a trusted household brand.

As well as significant experience and expertise within content strategy and content design, you’ll need to have the right mindset and cultural fit within a highly dynamic, data-driven start-up business. You’ll also be energised by our ambition to transform automotive retailing in the UK.

What you’ll do:

  • Work with UX Research to identify gaps in end-user understanding and make content recommendations to resolve
  • Work with designers on information architecture and the overall narrative and messaging for different parts of the online journey
  • Plan, write, edit, test and improve content including interface language, navigational taxonomy and other content throughout Cazoo experiences (like landing pages and UX copy)
  • Work with Product Managers and our analytics teams to plan and run content tests to understand what content is most effective
  • Continually work to evolve the Cazoo content standards
  • Work closely with Marketing to ensure content meets comms and business goals
  • Ensure consistency and quality of content design across all touchpoints

Skills and experience you’ll bring:

  • Content design thinking 
  • Hands-on writing skills, including UX writing, editing for web and mobile experience
  • A solid understanding of design thinking and user experience
  • Ability to structure content to meet customer needs
  • Strong understanding of data analytics and methods for evaluating content effectiveness
  • Experience driving forward a ‘content first’ approach in previous roles; ability to advocate and explain content design approaches and methodologies 
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to successfully liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders, teams and 3rd parties
  • High motivation with the ability to successfully work in a dynamic, fast-moving start-up environment where agility is key
