Learning Content Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Learning Content Designer to join our team and support our mission of providing enriched early childhood education through our award-winning CEFA Early Learning program. In this role, you will play a key part in creating, delivering, and enhancing educational content to ensure engaging and effective learning experiences for our educators. Your contributions will be instrumental in shaping the educational journey for young learners, preparing them with essential skills for life and success in kindergarten and beyond, while empowering educators to deliver outstanding results through dynamic and impactful training programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Candidate must demonstrate excellence in the following areas:
  • Content Development:
    • Research and select high-quality educational content aligned with CEFA’s philosophy and curriculum.
    • Create and organize course materials that are clear, engaging, and effective.
    • Integrate multimedia and interactive elements to enhance training programs.
  • Designing the user experience by ensuring content is engaging, user-friendly, and easy to understand for diverse learners.
  • Developing Technical Aspects:
    • Use authoring tools to create e-learning courses and training materials.
    • Ensure content is accessible and complies with relevant accessibility standards.
  • Providing technical support through troubleshooting issues related to course delivery and provide technical support to users as needed.
  • Tracking and reporting by monitoring and reporting on course usage, learner performance, and completion date.
  • Staying current by keeping up with advancements in e-learning technologies, tools, and trends to continuously improve training programs.
  • Instructional Design:
    • Apply instructional design models and adult learning principles to develop impactful training programs.
    • Analyze training needs, define objectives, and design courses that meet the unique needs of educators and students.
  • Technical Proficiency through confidently using computers and software tools to design, develop, and deliver training materials.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Reporting Structure
      • You will report to the Director of Training and Development.
      • You will work closely with curriculum experts, and project managers.
    • Collaboration:
      • Collaborate with subject matter experts and project managers to define course objectives and develop cohesive training content.
    • Communication:
      • Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
      • Foster effective cross-functional collaboration to support the development of high-quality training solutions.
  • Attention to Detail and Flexibility:
    • Ensure thoroughness and accuracy in all aspects of content creation.
    • Be adaptable and open to change, responding proactively to evolving needs.
  • Initiative:
    • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in training programs.
    • Take ownership of projects, driving them to successful completion.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field to learning content design
  • Any courses or certifications in learning content strategy
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in instructional design, learning content creation, or a related field.
  • Proficient in design software (Articulate 360)
  • A good understanding of learning theories and instructional design models is helpful
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and foster teamwork
  • Experience working in a fast paced, high-growth, entrepreneurial environment is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, prioritize work and manage deadlines.
  • Must possess excellent judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to lift in excess of twenty (25) lbs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that reflect professionalism and tact at all times
  • Willing to complete a police background check

Salary and Benefits:

Schedule – M-F – full time – 40 hours per week – may be required to work some evenings and weekends dependent on role. Semi-hybrid role.

Salary: $70,000
