The Technical Writer/Scientist is responsible for analyzing, reviewing, and compiling analytical study documentation to enable compliance of Cepheid products with US and International Regulations. The individual in this role will be collaborating across Cepheid R&D project teams and have the opportunity to work with other internal cross-functional groups.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Be responsible for identifying and reviewing available analytical study documents for a wide variety of in vitro diagnostics (IVD) products
  • Analyze information, data and documentation and convert them into comprehensive written reports and plans that will feed into product Technical Documentation files
  • Be responsible for identifying any gaps in documentation or data and bringing them to the attention of cross-functional leads
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to obtain required information, documentation and files

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Master’s degree with 3+ years of working in a diagnostic company in the area of infectious disease, public health lab or similar institution
  • Doctoral degree with 0-2 years of working in a diagnostic company in the area of infectious disease, public health lab or similar institution
  • Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation
  • Experience of PCR and assay optimization
  • Understanding of the IVD product development cycle especially design verification and validation

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience working in an FDA/ISO regulated environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines
