The Content Strategist plays the role of a writer and an editor as they help conceptualize and produce content that resonates with viewers across earned, owned, and paid platforms, with the aim of driving business goals. Their primary responsibility is to develop cohesive content with a focus on buyer journey and persona development. In collaboration with other stakeholders both inside and outside of marketing, the Content Strategist develops innovative content and helps to plan and execute various deliverables from start to end. 


  • Collaborate with marketing managers and in-house teams to create clear, engaging content in a variety of channels including email, booth graphics, and digital media
  • Edit content for spelling, grammar, style, and overall quality
  • Adhere to guidelines and enforce the tone, style, and voice of all brand content
  • Develop a solid understanding of the target audience and businesses served
  • Champion content marketing strategy across the company
  • Update older content to meet new content standards
  • Stay up to date on the latest developments in content trends and consumer behavior

Job Qualifications

  • Education: BA in Journalism, English, Professional Writing or a related discipline
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years related experience and/or training 


  • Excellent written and spoken communication 
  • Multitasking and organization, with a proven ability to lead projects from conception to execution
  • Content presentation and delivery 
  • Ability to translate a strategy or goal into a performance-driving creative strategy
  • Editing and proofreading 
  • Consensus building and collaboration

The Corporate Functions provide operational support across Charles River in areas such as Human Resources, Finance, IT, Legal, Sales, Quality Assurance, Marketing, and Corporate Development. They partner with their colleagues across the company to develop and drive strategies and to set global standards. The functions are essential to providing a bridge between strategic vision and operational readiness, to ensure ongoing functional innovation and capability improvement.
