Coinbase has built the world's leading compliant cryptocurrency platform serving over 30 million accounts in more than 100 countries. With multiple successful products, and our vocal advocacy for blockchain technology, we have played a major part in mainstream awareness and adoption of cryptocurrency. We are proud to offer an entire suite of products that are helping build the cryptoeconomy and increase economic freedom around the world.
There are a few things we look for across all hires we make at Coinbase, regardless of role or team. First, we look for signals that a candidate will thrive in a culture like ours, where we default to trust, embrace feedback, disrupt ourselves, and expect sustained high performance because we play as a championship team. Second, we expect all employees to commit to our mission-focused approach to our work. Finally, we seek people with the desire and capacity to build and share expertise in the frontier technologies of crypto and blockchain, in whatever way is most relevant to their role.
Coinbase is growing rapidly, and we’re excited to hire our first technical writer onto the API-first team. Our vision is to empower and inspire the next generation of software builders making decentralization and ownership in the crypto ecosystem transparent and accessible, and the technical writer will be critical to this effort.
Your work will span three key areas: First, you will help us build our Coinbase Cloud developer relations program, engaging with developers to drive technical product adoption and build strong feedback loops to inform product decisions, and review new and existing issues developers face. Second, you will work directly with product teams across Coinbase to write structured API documentation and develop naming and writing conventions we will continue to use for years to come. Finally, you will document your work and create systems that will enable efficient, scalable content.
You’ll work closely with engineers, product managers, product marketers, product designers, content designers, and researchers, and will report into the design systems team — a multidisciplinary mix of designers, illustrators, engineers, and writers.
