As the Content Strategist, you will lead several digital and content marketing efforts for the Community Coffee Company, including managing content calendars and overseeing content creation. This position works alongside the marketing specialists, designers, and analysts to create and maintain Community’s growing digital presence.

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with experts and product marketing teams to understand desired customer actions, formulating content plans, and working with internal writers to execute
  • Creating content journeys that lead from learning to shopping
  • Building out foundational, educational content for high-opportunity SEO topics to drive inbound traffic
  • Developing a content strategy for engaging customers
  • Defining segmented and channel approach to content that meets marketing and business goals
  • Leading research projects to help guide content creation
  • Editing content that engages, informs, drives action, and facilitates closer customer relationships
  • Managing multiple content projects simultaneously to adhere to a firm release schedule while ensuring proper review/supervision from stakeholders
  • Build, manage, and optimize the community strategy, performance, and measurement across channels to achieve the best ROI
  • Understand Community Coffee’s aesthetic to ensure all creative deliverables tell our story and are brand-appropriate
  • Stay abreast of new creative trends, insights and generate ideas on how to best translate these to customers
  • Strategize with cross-functional teams on trends, best practices, and ways to constantly improve content quality
  • Representing content strategy in cross-team meetings and strategy sessions
  • Manages budget
  • Guide individual content strategists on their content, identifying gaps, and making strategic decisions on what content they’ll produce.
  • May be asked to perform additional duties as necessary

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, English, or marketing required
  • 3-5 years experience in content strategy-related areas (content design, planning, and execution)
  • B2B marketing and/or CPG industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Experience managing budgets to remain within budget levels is required
  • Must have a passion for coffee

  • Office Environment: Most of the duties of this position will be perform inside an office environment.  The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet
