Our client, a well-known/leading global company, is seeking a Content Editor to assist their team.
This opportunity is remote requiring 40-hours per week for 1-year.
Content Editor Responsibilities:
Use your exceptional editing and time management skills to edit a large volume of content according to company's editorial guidelines and AP style. Maintain high quality, accuracy and readability.
Fact check dates, statistics and other information to ensure accuracy.
Write headlines, subheads and other copy to ensure content is optimized for the designated distribution channel, including the blog, CRM, social and in-product education.
Collaborate and work closely with the other editors, staff and freelance writers, and the production, SEO and compliance teams.
Communicate with writers positively and constructively when rewrites are required.
Work with compliance teams to ensure internal and partner guidelines are met.
Pitch topic ideas for blog articles.
Familiarize yourself with competitors? content and constantly consider ways Experian can improve and expand our content. Closely follow developments in the credit and personal finance space.
Take on other editorial projects as needed.
Content Editor Requirements:
At least 5 years of editing and writing experience, ideally working with digital content. Superior grammar, style and writing skills, as well as the ability to expertly edit at all levels.
Superior organizational skills and obsessive attention to detail.
Demonstrated knowledge of and interest in personal finance topics such as credit reports and scores, credit cards and loans as well as identity protection and cybersecurity.
Experience in long-form editing and multimedia content marketing.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Comfort with technology, social media and digital tools for content marketing.
Ability to work independently, demonstrate good personal judgment and exercise a commitment to ethical conduct.
Ability to demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy, and positively interact with individuals across the organization.
Bachelor's degree required, ideally in English, journalism or related field.
