Join us as Consumer Services UX Writer based Remote within USA on our Experience Design team in the Services Technology organization at Dell Technologies to do the best work of your career and make a profound impact.

As Customer Services UX Writer, you will deliver concise, easy to understand content of various sizes, from micro-content in our UI to help systems and direct communications that help our customers get the most out of our solutions, services and offers. You will contribute to standards and a style guide. You will collaborate with other writers, designers, developers, and key business stakeholders to create and test content and communications across our different products and communication tools.

Understanding context and where the customer is in their journey is critical to being successful in this role. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced, customer-focused writer who is ready to play a key role in a fully remote, distributed team.

The Experience Design team oversees creating and governing all digital touchpoints (UI content, and emails) that are sent to Services customers through various channels including email, SMS, System Notifications, UI messaging, Social, Chat bots etc.

You will

  • Translate internal technical and non-technical information to compose quality writing in the form of email messages, campaigns, notification text, and error messages that our customers can understand and use to get the most out of our service offers
  • Team with process engineering and development to create flexible, repeatable processes for content, ensuring alignment with Dell Technologies brand voice throughout our product and services portfolio
  • Champion a content strategy for your area of focus by proactively sharing your vision with Services Technology team leaders, stakeholders, and team members
  • Inspire our UX writing team to learn and grow in how they understand and use content in their designs and storytelling, and help facilitate consistent and scalable content creation processes from project intake through delivery

Essential Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in copywriting, content strategy and messaging campaigns with a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of experience and education)
  • Mastery of US English conversational writing that is professional, yet approachable while remaining inclusive. Superior editing and proofreading skills, as well as professional experience writing for the web on multiple devices, and crafting effective email messages for global environments
  • Experience understanding complex concepts and translating them into simple, intuitive, and concise language, with a track record of passion for content strategy as a discipline and customer experience as a multi-disciplinary mission
  • Experience successfully collaborating, iterating, and delivering in a fast-moving global environment, with high levels of self-motivation and urgency
  • UX content portfolio including samples of UI content, customer emails, and editorial style guides, as well as strong familiarity with User Experience principles

Desirable Requirements

  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS principles
  • Experience working in Agile development environments
