As a global content marketer at Deputy, you’ll help develop our top, middle, and bottom of funnel content strategy. We need someone who can get to the heart of what our customers want to read, pitch creative ideas that will help bring in new customers, and put those ideas into action.

You know how to write a catchy blog post, how to write an email subject line that gets people to open, and how to efficiently reuse and refresh existing content that converts.

You have a penchant for wit and humor. You’re quick-thinking, current on trends, and love to analyze word usage. 

As part of our expanding Content Squad, you’ll work with our Sales and global Marketing teams to drive leads and trials of our product. Are you up for the challenge?

Ideally, you will have at least two years of experience working in content marketing. You’re comfortable with the fast-paced, agile-natured world of high-growth technology companies, and want to drive process and strategy for long-term success. You’re goal-driven, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented. You care about Oxford commas, authentic storytelling, and smart writing. 

The Skill Set

  • 2+ years of content marketing experience and ability to demonstrate a track record of content that engages readers and drives conversion
  • Compelling storyteller
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills
  • Ability to collaborate with and work across various teams, take constructive feedback, and adjust design needs accordingly
  • Impeccable understanding of spelling and grammar rules 
  • CMS experience
  • Basic understanding of SEO
  • Confidence to independently dive into customer research and create highly relevant content ideas off the back of it 
  • Some experience with Google Analytics or other analytics tools highly desirable 
  • Some knowledge of the healthcare, retail, or hospitality space would be highly desirable

Within 60 days, you'll

  • Understand Deputy’s Mission, Vision, and Values
  • Have a strong grasp of Deputy’s tone of voice, value propositions, and unique selling points
  • Firm understanding of customer personas and pain points across our key segments — particularly healthcare businesses
  • Create and upload blog content to our Storyblok CMS
  • Create long-form content like ebooks, take on feedback from the Lead Content Marketing Manager, and submit the final version to Design

Within 180 days, you'll

  • Monitor key content performance metrics 
  • Be responsible for reporting on content performance to key stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for improving existing content 
  • Write copy for landing pages, social ads, emails, and Sales enablement material
  • Thorough understanding of the Deputy product

Within 365 days, you'll

  • Collaborate with the Lead Content Marketing Manager to identify new content themes that will appeal to new customer segments
  • Own the development of a content strategy around those themes that will capture the desired traffic and new leads
  • Own the creation of that content
