In accordance with the Agreement between the Organization of School Administrators and Supervisors (OSAS) and the Board of Education of the School District of the City of Detroit, the following vacancy is announced.
Detroit Public Schools Community District is seeking a talented digital journalist with strong news judgment and news-gathering skills, as well as a passion for education news and audio storytelling. Over the past three years, the District’s Knowledge Management team has built a nationally recognized staff intranet, called the Hub, and recently launched a Student Hub. We work to grow audiences across various platforms including the district’s website and school sites. As a part of this growing work, DPSCD is seeking a Content Manager who will report to the Senior Director of Knowledge Management. They will pitch ideas and programs, write, and execute on our intranet, and work closely to monitor analytics and help us reach our goals.
The Web Content Manager assigned to Knowledge Management would also support District staff engagement and content management and maintenance of the Hub. This includes supporting and working directly with end users, organizational stakeholders, and school staff. They will review and refine content, conduct audits, and provide technical assistance to content managers to ensure continuity of themes, engaging layouts, streamlined navigation and accessibility across the district’s intranet.
