Job description

The Content Strategist is responsible for providing support to the Marketing Manager in developing and executing the company’s digital marketing plan and will support cross-platform marketing initiatives. This role will oversee content requirements and create content strategy deliverables across all channels of business.  This role requires someone with excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects.  The Content Strategist must be a natural self-starter who is confident, eager to learn and take on different types of tasks daily. The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Write and edit the content that really communicates who we are and speaks to our Dirty Hands culture and tone
  • Ensure all content is clear, compelling and properly distributed across web, mobile and social platforms – tell the story of who we are and what we do
  • Fully take over the social media calendar with curated content and overall development of social media management
  • Manage the pipeline of information of social media content from the organization to the agency and measure/track results 
  • Oversee third-party agency projects to include videographers/photographers 
  • Support the Marketing Director in evaluating and establishing the marketing plan and strategy
  • Coordinate product, event, or content email marketing campaigns, including copy, scheduling, testing, and database management
  • Manage company promotional items and gear
  • Support the development of creative briefs and manage revisions, delivery to all third parties, trafficking, tracking, reporting and recaps on all campaigns. This involves engaging with the design process from start to finish, including copywriting, layout and delivery of assets.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure all project requests are fully documented, communicated and timelined.
  • Independently coordinate marketing and community events and trade shows, including overseeing, logistics, coordinating with vendors, creating itineraries and more

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field preferred.
  • Five plus years of experience in digital marketing.
  • Experience managing social content, strategy and calendar.
  • Experience with website build and design.
  • Proven track record of strong copywriting and storytelling skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience with social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft.
  • Self-starter and able to operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of natural and organic product standards.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.
