Our Technical Writer will be an integral part of our UX/UI team in EMEA. This role is based remotely in the UK or Ireland.

You will work as our Technical Writer and be a professional responsible for creating documentation that clarifies the product's features and benefits. You’ll be working on requirements like content strategy or scoping out new products to ensure all necessary information has been included for users to understand what they're reading quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Become a subject matter expert in our product portfolio
  • Create, update and maintain customer-facing documentation at DoiT Help Center and the Developer Hub
  • Collaborate with Product managers, engineers, and designers to gain an in-depth understanding of our product portfolio, identify documentation needs and opportunities from a customer-centric view
  • Manage multiple documentation tasks in any given sprint
  • Contribute to other technical knowledge articles at DoiT
  • Participate in tooling and process improvements

Requirements

  • Fluent in English to a professional standard (written and spoken)
  • 4+ years experience in researching, writing, editing, and reviewing user-centered technical documentation for B2B SaaS products
  • Experience building documentation websites with static site generators and markup languages like Markdown/MDX
  • Experience with GitHub, pull request reviews, and CI/CD
  • Experience with API documentation (OpenAPI, Swagger)
  • Learning attitude, able to pick up challenging technical concepts, write clearly, and edit the work of subject-matter experts
  • Well-organized, able to prioritize tasks and deliver high-quality work on time
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Basic understanding of cloud technology, e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Kubernetes.
