Job description
A Content Designer helps to identify and match user needs to appropriate content formats, for both information and transaction-based services. They design, create and iterate simple and clear content that helps people get the information they need, in the way they need it.
They develop content strategy and solutions for complex services and other products working with digital and non-digital content.
A Senior Content Designer maps and writes user stories and is responsible for content quality, including reviewing the work of others.
They mentor content designers and may also manage small teams.
They lead on cross-government content projects and engage with the wider government content community.

This role is based out of our London, Leeds and Newcastle corporate hub locations.

The salary for this role based in London is from £54,067 (Band Min) up to £64,656 (Band Max)
The salary for this role based in Newcastle and Leeds is from £49,171 (Band Min) up to £59,589 (Band Max)
For existing Civil Servants normal civil service rules on successful appointment will apply.
Those who secure a new role on lateral transfer will maintain their current salary. Existing Civil Servants who gain promotion may move to the bottom of the next grade pay scale or 10% increase in salary whichever would be the greater. Only in very few circumstances (where there have been exceptional skills demonstrated which are in limited supply for example) may existing Civil Servants be able to negotiate their starting salary if the role has been advertised externally, prior to accepting the post.

Stage 1: Application & Sift
