We are looking for 4 x Content Designers to join us on a contract position, working on one of our government digital transformation projects. This contract is a remote working role with some travel to the client-side (London) from time to time. (Must be based in the UK). All positions are a 6-month contract with a strong possibility of an extension.

We are looking for 1 x Content Designer to start ASAP, 1 x Content Designer to start 2nd August 2021 and the 2 other Content Designers will be expected to start on 31st August 2021.

Key skills/responsibility:

  • Experience working within government / GDS
  • Passion for writing content that is clear, concise and correct
  • Ability to understand and construct impactful content that is sensitive to the needs of vulnerable user groups
  • Strong digital copywriting experience
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary delivery team using agile principles
  • Working in a fast-moving environment where iteration and change are embraced
  • Supporting and attending user research sessions - iterating content based on feedback
  • Writing content for digital / mobile-first services-Comfortable working with HTML, basic code management workflows (GitHub / BitBucket etc) and externalising content with markup languages such as YAML, JSON etc
  • Ability to work with User Experience and User Research specialists to define a service “tone of voice” that communicates with different user groups
  • Accessibility, Information Architecture and Case text


We have reviewed this role using the HMRC CEST tool checker and would consider this to fall outside of the IR35 rules. We confirm that we have taken reasonable care coming to this conclusion. We will complete an individual CEST assessment in line with HMRC guidance before this role commences and ultimately the result will depend on the specific information the successful applicant provides to us.
