The Junior UX Writer will focus primarily on creating user interface (UI) copy in English, while supporting Bahasa Melayu content where required. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including UX designers, developers, and product owners. The aim is to ensure that the copy aligns with product goals and enhances the user experience across digital platforms such as the KWSP i-Akaun app, website, and chatbot. By joining EPF’s Digital Channel Department as a Junior UX Writer, you will contribute to shaping user-centric, engaging digital experiences across diverse platforms, improving how millions of users interact with EPF products.
Job Responsibilities
- Write clear and concise UI copy, primarily in English, for apps, websites, chatbots, and other digital platforms, while also supporting content creation in Bahasa Melayu and ensuring translation accuracy for a tailored user experience in the local context.
- Collaborate with UX designers, developers, and product owners to develop intuitive user flows and interfaces.
- Create instructional copy, error messages, and product information that improves user interaction.
- Participate in user research to refine copy based on feedback and insights.
- Ensure content aligns with EPF’s tone of voice and enhances the overall user experience.
- Work with content specialists to ensure content is relevant for different user segments.
Job Requirements
- Malaysian citizen
- Passed the Malaysian Language (including passing the Oral Test) at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia level or a qualification recognized as equivalent by the government
- Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing, Interaction Design, Communications, Digital Media, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
- Below 5 years of experience in UX writing or a similar role, focusing on English digital copy, with proficiency in Bahasa Melayu.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a focus on digital content.
- Familiarity with UX design principles and experience working with design tools like Figma and Adobe.
- Basic understanding of UX principles and front-end development (HTML/CSS).
- Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams and adapt to dynamic project requirements.
