Starting with our fully managed LinkedIn service, we’ve built a process that allows us to effectively tell the stories of topic executives, continuously analyze what messaging works, and ensure senior executives are sharing the right messages at the right times.
You will be joining a team led by a veteran founder in the social content space, collaborating with a team of 15 that are experts in their respective fields, and partnering with over 75 CEO’s that are changing industries ranging from B2B software to food & bev to mobile gaming.
The Director of Content role is an opportunity for a creative, strategic writer & editor to help craft the voices of top CEOs and develop the talents of a team of writers. This role will be responsible for managing our full writing team, standardizing our process for translating client interviews into text, and ensuring that each piece of content that goes out the door delights our clients.
Responsibilities
Maintain Content Consistency: Ensure writing quality is upheld across 75+ client engagements, reviewing posts for tone, style, and industry relevance.
Content Review & Feedback: Regularly review and provide constructive feedback on all content produced to guarantee accuracy, clarity, and alignment with client goals.
Performance Management: Lead performance evaluations for the 4+ Sr. Content Specialists that report to you, ensuring continuous feedback and growth
Training Programs: Develop and implement training programs that enhance the writing, editing, and industry knowledge of the team.
Mentorship & Development: Act as a mentor, guiding team members in their career development and helping them grow in both writing skills and leadership capacity.
Content Playbook: Build and manage a "content playbook" that documents the best practices, templates, and standards for all writers to follow
Process Standardization & Improvement: Develop standardized frameworks and processes for writing LinkedIn posts, ensuring a consistent approach across all clients.
Deployment of AI: Test and roll-out team strategies for utilizing AI across our content development and quality control processes
Requirements
Based in the U.S.
Undergraduate or advanced degree in journalism, communications, creative writing, marketing, or equivalent professional experience required
Professional writing experience: First and foremost, our Director of Content brings a wealth of professional writing experience (5+ years) across formats and industries.
Expertise managing a content delivery process: 5+ years of content management or editorial leadership experience, preferably in a B2B or startup environment.
Experience writing for senior stakeholders. Experience developing content that meets the objectives and voice goals for a CEO or other executive preferred
Social media experience: Experience writing short-form content for social media like LinkedIn or twitter preferred but not required
Strong understanding of multiple industries and the ability to translate complex topics into accessible LinkedIn posts.
Experience working with AI: Demonstrated experience integrating ChatGPT or other AI models into your processes for content development and quality con
Experience leading a team: 2+ years of experience managing a team, including performance reviews, growth planning, and skills development
Experience training & coaching team members: 2+ years of experience developing and rolling out coaching programs to teams
Collaboration: Experience working cross-functionally with clients, and other stakeholders to align content with client needs.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment and quickly pivot based on shifting priorities or client demands.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary for this role will be $105-120K
