Content Strategist Responsibilities

  • Plan and write the content for Facebook products, continually improve that content, and evolve Facebook's voice and content standards
  • Plan, write, edit, test, and improve content including interface language, product education materials, product names, navigational nomenclature, and other content for advertisers
  • Apply and maintain consistency with content language standards, and evolve Facebook's voice according to the target audience
  • Collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, product marketers, operational support teams, and engineers to write technical language and online content that serves a global content audience
  • Develop and write content for web and mobile interfaces, including interaction flows, product tours, and transactional emails
  • Launch education material and apply consisted writing standards to elevate Facebook's content
  • Translate scientific and technical information into easily understandable language
  • Promote content strategy at Facebook and in the broader community of design and content professionals
  • Plan, create, and improve Facebook's product content with the goal of simplifying complex interfaces and interactions, making for a more user-friendly experience for Facebook's global audience
  • Standardize content across multiple channels and platforms to elevate the overall quality of Facebook's products

Minimum Qualifications

  • Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
  • Experience must include 6 months of experience in each of the following:
  • Aligning with development, UX, user research, and translation teams in creating consistent, localizable UI texts
  • Analyzing tests and research results to identify opportunities for strategic product improvements
  • Create and maintains product guides
  • Experience in information architecture and responsive content
  • Experience working with cross-functional partners to accomplish specific revenue-driving product goals
  • Experience crafting strategic content for digital experiences.
