What we do: 

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is looking for a Senior Digital Content Strategist to join the Digital Strategy team, which is responsible for content strategy and data visualization as well as the public-facing website, mobile apps, videos, social media channels and emails. Digital Strategy works closely with all areas of the Bank to advance their long-term communications strategies, advance the Bank’s mission and goals, and reach our constituents by visualizing data, creating user experiences, and developing content strategies.

Your role as Senior Digital Content Strategist:

  • Contribute as a member of the Digital Strategy team providing subject matter expertise in the evaluation, planning, sourcing and creation of new content including understanding metadata connections, publishing once for multiple platforms, creating strategies for maximum impact across channels, and examining metrics to evaluate impact and search engine optimization strategies.
  • Develop and implement innovative content strategies to influence audiences across various social and digital platforms.
  • Lead strategic discussions with internal partners to ensure they maximize their digital presence.
  • Write and edit content written by others; advise and shape content development for online publication.
  • Assess, catalogue, organize, and enhance website content.
  • Experience with redesigning websites by working with information architecture, taxonomy, and content strategies.
  • Develop and maintain editorial style guidelines by which all online content is governed; plan long-term, flexible editorial roadmaps and short-term calendars.

What we are looking for:

  • An innovative and strategic digital and social media visionary specializing in building and engaging online audiences.
  • Approximately 7-10 years of experience in content strategy, with experience in applying content strategy in a digital environment and developing content for multiple channels and diverse audiences.
  • Seasoned writer/editor/content developer with a proven track record of developing and implementing strategies to influence audiences across various social and digital platforms.
  • Hands-on publishing implementation and execution experience; background utilizing content management systems ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant discipline, preferably with a journalism degree or background.
  • Experience with technical issues related to integration into Content Management Systems and databases and an understanding of mobile and web technologies and development.
