The Manager, Digital Content is responsible for developing and executing a digital content strategy in support of the key initiatives of the FASB, GASB and FAF across a variety of communications channels. The position also oversees the work of an outside PR and marketing strategy firm and supervises a full-time intern.

The position requires strategic acumen, attention to detail, demonstrated expertise of current and emerging technology-based communication/marketing platforms, channels, devices, and digital strategy. Additional competencies include an understanding of database management, CRM tools, mobile, social media, email, testing, optimization, personalization, and metrics. The Manager, Digital Content advises senior executives about the wisdom of specific strategic choices, using data from our own channels and best practices from other organizations to build persuasive strategic arguments.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Build, plan, implement, and manage the FASB, GASB and FAF digital communication strategies to drive increased follower growth and engagement
  • Provide digital strategy advice to FASB, GASB and FAF leadership and senior project leaders¬†¬†
  • Set specific digital objectives supporting project goals, identifying key performance indicators that align with success metrics. Oversee those digital projects and monitor their progress
  • Ensure smooth operation for all digital tools and applications (e.g., website, email marketing and social media)
  • Analyze SEO, Google Analytics, and various social analytics in order to provide reporting on content performance and identify enhancement opportunities
  • Generate innovative ideas to improve website messaging and increase traffic to sites
  • Train internal teams to use digital technologies
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure brand consistency
  • Oversee the work of an outside digital PR and marketing strategy firm
  • Hire, train, manage and mentor a full-time digital content intern
  • Provide counsel on how to leverage and optimize digital communications platforms and new technology to improve stakeholder experience
  • Stay up to date with the latest technology and best practices, helping to appropriately scale and implement those practices within the organization
  • Oversee the FASB-GASB-FAF‚Äôs 10 social media accounts across LinkedIn (3), Twitter (1), Facebook (3), and YouTube (3)
  • Research digital presence for comparable organizations, investigate benchmarks and provide suggestions for improvement

Essential Skills and Experience: 

  • 7-10 years of experience in digital marketing and communications
  • Direct experience managing content across all major social media platforms, especially Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Direct experience advising leaders on the use of social media to enhance communication programs and achieve organizational objectives
  • Experience with digital analytics and the ability to set, monitor and report on campaign results to senior management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor‚Äôs degree in marketing, communications, or related fields
  • Experience managing outside PR firms and holding them accountable for performance to contractual obligations
