This role is full-time and dedicated solely to our biggest client, an industry-leading tech brand and a 2022 Inc 5000 honoree. They are building people-centric business service tools to fill a niche not widely available to entrepreneurs today. As the Content Lead at First Page, you’ll be responsible for strategically developing and tracking the performance of content across owned channels and ensuring all content targets our client's core audience and ladders back to business objectives. The role requires a strong leader with a marketing background and a creative and analytical mindset. You must possess a passion for creating SEO-optimized content that delights and informs while pushing users down the sales funnel. Our ideal candidate has an editorial background in small business and entrepreneurial-focused content, familiarity with Hubspot, and experience developing content that has a meaningful and measurable impact against crucial marketing and business goals. The role requires strong attention to detail and hands-on experience creating content that meets Google E.A.T. Up-to-date knowledge of A.P. Stylebook regarding equity-focused content is a bonus!

WHAT YOU'LL BE OWNING: 

  • Lead a team of content pros and collaborate closely with them to help implement strategy and achieve overarching business goals
  • Managing, maintaining, and advocating for high content standards in partnership with content, SEO, and UX teams.
  • Overseeing content consolidation for the blog to boost organic traffic and conversions.
  • Proposing new topic opportunities for evergreen content based on user intent and trending news.
  • Managing the content calendar for the blog monthly to strike the perfect balance between reactive and evergreen content.
  • Coordinating content for landing pages, newsletter campaigns, and other projects as needed.
  • Writing detailed content briefs for writer assignments.
  • Collaborating on projects with the PR, Social, and Video teams.
  • Assisting with the client's content strategy to ensure the team is up-to-date on content best practices.
  • Create routine reports to evaluate performance and determine ways to constantly improve campaign effectiveness for content channels, using tools including Klipfolio, Google Analytics, SEMRush, etc.
  • Have a strong understanding of the brand identity and translate seamlessly to all content projects 

WHAT WE'D LIKE TO SEE FROM YOU:

  • At least 5+ years of previous experience as a content lead/manager with strong product-led/tech brand experience
  • Experience leading teams directly and collaborating cross-functionally with other teams
  • Inbound marketing experience and a demonstrated understanding of how content contributes to other marketing channels and larger business goals
  • Experience integrating best practices for UX and SEO to create more effective content
  • Ability to navigate Analytics and comfort with pulling and analyzing metrics to determine the success of content initiatives
  • High attention to detail and dedication to accuracy / quality
  • Willingness to jump into tasks yourself when something needs to get done.
  • Strong grasp of SEO methodologies and ability to edit content with an eye toward UX and SEO.
  • Storytelling mindset for creating irresistible content.
  • Ability to perform trend research to identify and prioritize content our writers should develop.
  • Ability to create internal and client-facing presentations to report on goals, performance, etc. 
  • Communication skills are essential to the success of our remote company, both internally and externally - to be a part of this team it is key that you are able to effectively communicate with people across the globe 
  • Technology-savvy: with the ability to quickly learn to navigate, manage workload and track time & capacity in ClickUp (our PM tool) and to effectively use Zoom, Slack, shared Google Drives and other online tools that support our remote work practices — both async and synchronously 
  • A flexible mentality at a small, growing company as teams goals and responsibilities often internally shift
  • A willingness to be part of a fully remote team and care about who you work with on the other side of the screen — participation in team events, Slack conversations, etc. 
  • Must have 3-5 years of experience using HubSpot, or a competitive marketing automation platform

WHAT WE BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • The annual compensation range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000
  • We are a 100% remote-first company – #workfromanywhere 
  • 32-hour work week (we mean it)!
  • We have set Sync Hours (10a-2p CST) where our team needs to be accessible (not chained to a desk!), but the rest of your schedule is up to you (we believe in nonlinear workdays)

WHAT OUR PROCESS LOOKS LIKE:

  1. Video call with the hiring manager - 1hr
  2. Video meeting with some of the team (peers, direct reports, etc) - 1hr
  3. Complete a (PAID!) test project - estimated creation time 2-3hrs
  4. Presenting your test project to some of the team (video) - 30m -1hr
  5. Wrap up with our Founder + People Team for 30m each
  6. References + Offer - Welcome to the Team!

Please note that while First Page Strategy is a #workfromanywhere company, we are still working on that being extended to those originating from outside of the US. As it stands now, we are only able to hire US citizens or those who are authorized to work in the US as full-time employees (we do not provide visa sponsorship). We hope to change that in the future to even further diversify our team!
