Fitch Group is seeking a data literacy content specialist to join the Chief Data Office (CDO). This role will report to the head of data engagement and will produce entertaining, digestible videos, interactive lessons, quizzes, and more that will make our data literacy program both educational and fun. 

The Chief Data Office (CDO) is a recently established and fast-growing global function reporting to the CEO of the Fitch Group, with a mission to drive innovation by transforming the way Fitch leverages data. By supporting firmwide data engagement, this role plays a critical part in making our work more meaningful, efficient, and impactful. 

The position will ideally be based in New York City, NY, United States. Other locations may be possible.

You are:

  • Excited to use marketing and journalistic skills to make the elements of our data literacy program as entertaining as they are educational.
  • A natural storyteller.
  • Able to deliver content in a mix of different formats (text, interactive, video, audio) to suit different audiences.
  • A self-starter, who can take basic instructions and run projects with minimal supervision.
  • Highly organized, responsive, resourceful, and motivated.

You will:

  • Create short articles, videos, quizzes, listicles, and more to fuel a steady cadence of data-literacy content.
  • Be part of the team responsible for 1-2 enterprise-wide data engagement campaigns each year – with involvement from brainstorming to delivering a multi-week, multimedia experience.
  • Partner with the head of data engagement and multiple subject matter experts to build and launch Fitch’s ‘data literacy 101’ course, plus additional Fitch-specific data lessons over time.
  • Assist with amplifying our ‘Legends of Data’ awards – which celebrate those who are leading innovation, upskilling, process improvement, and more – as well as recognizing our winners.

You Have:

  • A bachelor's degree, plus 3-7 years experience in communications, marketing and/or journalism.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • A portfolio of work demonstrating the ability to tell complex stories in relatable terms.
  • A multimedia experience, including video production and editing.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent judgement and team spirit.
