Job description

At FVRLibraries we strive to strengthen our communities through knowledge, creativity and experiences! We have over 15 locations and 2 bookmobiles with a service area of over 4,200 square miles across a number of cities within Clark, Skamania and Klickitat counties. This position works at our Operations Center in Vancouver, WA supporting over 250 employees throughout our district. The Website Content Manager is responsible for the management of all content on FVRL’s Drupal website, fvrl.org, which reaches over 2,500 patrons a day. This includes the writing, editing, and proofing of new and existing content as well as publishing the content to the district’s web platforms. Ensures brand consistency across the website and that posted information meets established content and accessibility standards. The Website Content Manager works in conjunction with communications and web development staff to plan and develop the website’s content, style, and layout. 

Typical duties may include:

  • Writing and posting content to fvrl.org
  • Revising content developed by other staff to match the needs of the website
  • Helps provide content and manages other FVRL platforms, including our internal intranet site
  • Provides guidance for others on web content strategies

Education & Experience

  • Associate of Arts degree in a related field of study required. 
  • Minimum of three years of related work experience writing and editing content for the web required
  • One or more years of demonstrated experience with HTML and CSS preferred  
  • Experience with social media, online marketing, and web development with desired 
  • Background developing content with User Experience (UX), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and WCAG best practices desired 
  • Fluency in Spanish or Russian is highly desired

Pay & Benefits

The pay range for this position begins at $21.93/hour with an excellent benefits package including health insurance benefits, life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment, short term and long term disability benefits, Washington State PERS retirement and paid time off. 

Schedule

This position typically works Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.
