12-month temporary role with the possibility to convert to permanent

The award-winning FORTUNE Brand Studio is seeking a Branded Content Editor, reporting to the VP/Executive Editorial Director. This person will work across multiple advertiser campaigns, working closely with our creative, production, design, and content management teams to write, edit, and publish content that meets client objectives and appeals to the Fortune audience in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for a nimble, forward-thinking, storyteller who is as comfortable leading a social media campaign as they are editing long-form journalism and data visualizations. In this role, you’ll run the day-to-day editorial needs of several campaigns in various stages of production, while owning a slate of multimedia projects from kickoff to launch. This is a temporary, twelve-month role with the potential to become permanent, starting immediately.

Responsibilities

  • Manage¬†sold¬†advertiser campaigns as editorial lead,¬†line¬†editing all creative elements
  • Develop article concepts and write-ups that align with creative strategy (long-form, advertiser spotlights, Q&As, and more)
  • Write, edit, and produce content¬†for a variety of advertisers
  • Edit infographics,¬†data visualizations,¬†research projects and related deliverables, including briefing designers and researchers
  • Edit¬†social copy, video descriptions, and other¬†campaign-related¬†copy as needed
  • Work with designers, content producers, and other team members to ensure the quality of published work
  • Develop scripts for video and audio programs, including interview questions and themes
  • Copyedit, proof, and QA content as needed
  • Manage freelance writers and other vendors as needed¬†

Requirements 

  • US resident
  • 3-4¬†years¬†of¬†experience¬†editing branded content in a¬†publisher¬†content studio or agency
  • Experience¬†with¬†telling stories in a variety of mediums,¬†including¬†digital, social, print, video, audio
  • Strong research chops¬†and a strong sense of resourcefulness
  • Ability to¬†research,¬†write, and edit quickly, accurately, and with energy
  • Ability to independently hit multiple deadlines across a variety of projects
  • Direct experience collaborating with clients, agencies, and other stakeholders
  • Impeccable communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong client-facing¬†presentation skills
  • Familiarity with the media, publishing, and advertising landscape
  • CMS¬†and social platform¬†experience
  • Experience¬†with¬†producing¬†data-driven¬†and audio/video¬†storytelling¬†a plus
  • Strategy experience¬†is a plus
  • B2B experience¬†is a plus
