Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience creating content for a technical audience (e.g., developer documentation, computer science course materials, and/or IT admin playbooks).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience documenting, developing, or using an application programming interface (API) in Python, Java, and C++.
  • Experience writing in HTML or markdown.
  • Experience writing developer-facing documentation or technical customer-facing materials.
  • Understanding of complex technologies such as software or hardware systems by investigation, experimentation (e.g., reading, or running code), and/or interactions with subject matter experts.
  • Familiarity with machine learning (ML), ML data preparation techniques, and/or building machine learning models.

The Google Machine Learning (ML) Developer Relations team creates developer experiences that drive engagement, adoption, and success for developers building machine learning systems with Tensorflow inside and outside Google.


  • Produce technical documentation for our external and internal developer audience, such as API reference manuals, developer guides, and more.
  • Design and organize documentation sets for APIs and developer products.
  • Edit, clarify, and proofread documents written by others, and mentor non-writers on ways to improve their writing skills.
  • Manage complex documentation projects.
  • Write and test small code samples.
