About Raycom Sports:

Raycom Sports’ Marketing & Digital Team is responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategies designed to optimize the position of sports and entertainment brands through various digital platforms and touchpoints. The Digital Content Coordinator will play a key role in the development and deployment of content on various digital platforms in alignment with business strategies and goals.

Raycom Sports is seeking a team-first, energetic, creative Digital Content Coordinator with a passion for sports, running social media channels and developing content for interactive platforms. The ideal candidate can work across multiple subject matters, create fresh concepts and content, and work within a team and the goals established by the organization.

Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:

  • Perform a wide variety of tasks to assist in shaping, creating and distributing content on interactive platforms
  • Manage project communities on social channels and other digital platforms daily, developing a deep understanding of various communities and driving engagement within those communities
  • Consistently stay on top of new tools, trends and best practices within the social and digital space, and effectively implement them into day-to-day content development
  • Able to bring fresh, new content ideas to the table to increase audience engagement through unique and creative content strategies
  • Provide customer service support and post relevant content on social media platforms before and during events
  • Manage website content for a variety of internal and external clients
  • Collaborate with the Data Team to analyze performance of digital content and platforms to evaluate strategy, develop results-driven content and implement new ways to increase audience optimization and engagement on all platforms

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 1-3 years related experience, including internships
  • Strong copywriting and editorial skills within digital and social media channels
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately, adapt to changing circumstances, work on multiple projects simultaneously in a single day and meet intense deadlines
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere
  • Knowledge of WordPress CMS and/or HTML/CSS
  • Familiarity with digital, social and mobile media practices, platforms and strategies
  • Sports/Entertainment fan with specific knowledge of subject matter preferred
  • Willingness to work flexible or varied hours including nights and weekends
