Do you have experience of writing for and updating the web?
We're working towards making Council services and information simpler, clearer and faster for residents, visitors and businesses. To do that, we need content designers who write high-quality, user-focused content, and understand the web, technology and people.
We always start with user needs. We create digital products and services that people prefer to use over other options, and words play a big part in that. You'll represent users with the written word, so you need to be user-focused and know how to write with a user, not a client/department in mind first and foremost. You’ll update the website using our content management system to make sure it is accurate for our users.
If you want to be a part of this team, you'll need to be able to:
You'll be expected to work with the whole team, on all and any of our projects. Sometimes at a moment's notice. That could mean working with developers, designers, policy specialists, legal teams, senior management - anyone we need to produce world-class online products and services.
