The Web Content Designer/Developer designs, organizes, formats and publishes a wide array of content for our employee audiences via electronic communication channels. Accountable for ensuring formats are visually pleasing, display properly, contain necessary components and reach the right audience in the right format at the right time. Design work can include social media, digital design and presentations.
Distribute content written or created by others using the intranet, email, internal distribution tools or internal social media tools. Revises or proofreads some content written by others.
Develop original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design problems
Creates, publishes and maintains content on corporate vehicles, such as Compass (intranet built on Sitecore), email newsletters and departmental/divisional sites. Monitor links on sites to ensure accuracy.
Execute layout and integrates design elements of online content with the goal of providing a clean, engaging and informative experience for audiences. Executes certain design and graphic tasks as needed. Performs quality checks on all elements of the content during the publishing process.
Troubleshoot any publishing-related technical challenges and provides ideas to improve tools and processes.
Research and prepare concepts for presentation of material, product, or services according to company guidelines.
Execute all visual design from concept to engineering.
Education, Skills, and Ability:
Proven experience, with 3+ years professional experience
Advanced web content management skills
SharePoint O365 experience
Solid visual design skills with a strong portfolio
Great team-player mentality: Works well with others; offers help and opinions when needed; enjoys team comradery; willingness to compromise to reach agreement or solutions
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, or other visual design tools
Experience in designing for mobile and/or responsive design
Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
Solid understanding of web principles and accessibility.
Sitecore experience a plus.
