Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Content Strategist to join our marketing department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, executing, and managing content strategies that align with our business goals, enhance our brand visibility, and engage our target audience. The Content Strategist will collaborate with various teams to create compelling content that drives customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Content Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives and brand voice. This includes identifying target audiences, setting content goals, and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
- Content Creation and Management: Oversee the creation of high-quality content, including blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, social media posts, newsletters, videos, and other marketing materials. Ensure content is consistent, engaging, and optimized for SEO.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to ensure content aligns with campaign goals and product launches. Collaborate with external content creators, freelancers, and agencies as needed.
- SEO and Analytics: Optimize content for search engines to increase organic traffic. Use analytics tools to monitor content performance and make data-driven decisions to improve engagement and conversion rates.
- Editorial Calendar Management: Develop and manage an editorial calendar to ensure a consistent flow of content that aligns with marketing campaigns and product launches.
- Brand Messaging: Maintain a strong understanding of House-Hasson Hardware’s brand voice and ensure all content is aligned with our brand values and messaging.
- Customer Insights: Conduct audience research to understand the needs, preferences, and behaviors of our target customers. Use insights to inform content creation and strategy.
- Content Audits: Regularly conduct content audits to assess the effectiveness of existing content and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to internal teams on content best practices, brand voice, and storytelling techniques.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as HubSpot, social media platforms, and analytics tools. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud also a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in content strategy, content marketing, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Knowledge of the hardware or retail industry is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
