We’re currently seeking a Content Strategist​.  

Our innovative digital solutions team is seeking a content strategist to provide a range of communications support and management tasks. This position requires strong communication skills, a high degree of professionalism, independent judgment, organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and flexibility as needs and priorities change.

This position is remote and can be based from anywhere in the U.S. 

As a ​Content Strategist​, you will: 

  • Inventory, audit, and provide recommendations for content organization, structure, and revisions to improve accessibility of vital public health information 
  • Support a massive content migration for a major federal client 
  • Work closely with account teams to develop and execute web content strategy and governance plans 
  • Make recommendations about web content usability and optimization including improvements to taxonomy, information architecture, and SEO 
  • Proactively communicate with task leads and project managers about your availability and capacity 
  • Provide editorial support including revisions for tone, voice, and plain language, as well as collaborating with technical writers, editors, and subject matter experts when appropriate  
  • Serve as a point of contact for our clients – prioritizing, delegating, tracking, and reporting on tasks conducted by the Content Team as well as directly assisting with the implementation 
  • Communicate with ICF and client teams about timelines, task prioritization, and dependencies 
  • Use an Agile (e.g., Kanban or Scrum) framework to manage Operations & Maintenance tasks for the Content team 
  • Streamline content management workflows and processes used by you and your team 
  • Inform your work with an understanding of content management best practices.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure content updates are made correctly to each environment (e.g., test, stage, production) 
  • Work with accessibility and data analytics experts to ensure 508 compliance 
  • Work closely with creative, digital, and prime contractor teams 
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, user experience experts, content strategists, and client stakeholders to support the revision of existing pages and the creation of new web content  
  • Create and lead presentations to clients and internal project teams 
  • Be a creative thinker and problem solver 

As a ​Content Strategist​, you will have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field 
  • 5+ years experience in content strategy
  • 3+ years experience in platform management, content development, and analytics
  • 3+ years experience in content management of a large website
  • 1+ years experience in WordPress
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with public health content
  • Experience working with federal government clients 
  • Experience with SharePoint

Professional Skills:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills 
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office 
  • The ability to work remotely 
  • The ability to develop and implement content and taxonomy governance plans  
  • Persuasive presentation skills and the ability to gain buy-in from leadership teams 
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities 
  • Ability to work independently, seek help as needed and contribute to team and company culture

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align with the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
