Role Overview:

As a Content Strategist at Influent, you will be the linchpin of our client service team, offering both strategic vision and practical execution for personalized LinkedIn content campaigns. This role demands a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and client management, aimed at developing and executing content strategies that resonate with target audiences and meet client objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a data-driven content strategy for our clients that blends their personal worldview with their company’s strategic marketing goals.
  • Utilize content marketing expertise, LinkedIn-specific knowledge, and industry research to develop quarterly LinkedIn content plans, ensuring overarching content narratives and creative direction are aligned with the client’s authentic voice and marketing goals.
  • Perform independent research on our client’s industry to deeply understand their ideal customer profile and inform content strategy.
  • Generate innovative content ideas across various formats (videos, graphics, polls, GIFs, etc.) based on client content performance and broader LinkedIn content trends.
  • Draft monthly interview questions for clients based on content strategy and trending industry topics.
  • Perform monthly interviews with clients (often founders, CEOs, and other execs) to source LinkedIn content.
  • Prepare detailed creative briefs for our Creative Team to execute, including providing detailed instructions for efficient video editing and graphic design.
  • Ghostwrite copy on behalf of clients in their unique voice while maintaining best practices for the LinkedIn platform.
  • Organize content in a client-facing project management tool.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients through email and video calls, ensuring timely updates and feedback.
  • Embody and articulate the client’s voice across all social media posts.
  • Guide the content review process, managing client feedback effectively.
  • Stay ahead of LinkedIn trends and provide strategic advice to clients.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Must embody our core values (see below)
  • Agency experience (or service-based business experience)
  • Experience developing content strategies and/or social media strategies
  • In-depth knowledge of the LinkedIn platform.
  • Highly organized, capable of managing multiple client projects simultaneously.
  • A keen creative eye, with unwavering attention to detail.
  • Exceptional writing abilities, with experience writing social media copy.
  • A self-motivated individual who thrives in a startup agency environment, comfortable with ambiguity and rapid changes.
  • Very strong client-facing communication skills. Highly likable with the ability to engage and manage client expectations effectively.
