Job description

Under the general direction of a manager, the Sr. Content Marketing Manager is responsible for all aspects of content marketing including planning, creating, and distributing content to achieve Inmar’s business goals.

This position requires knowledge of content and marketing best practices, technical skills to create and distribute content, as well as the ability to pull and analyze data to evaluate the success of Inmar’s marketing efforts. The incumbent must work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to develop a content strategy, social strategy, website strategy, paid media and D2C/B2C strategy.

As a senior member of the team, the incumbent will provide leadership on the Corporate Marketing team, Product Marketing team, and throughout the organization. This role will provide guidance and direction to more junior members of the team and assist with training as needed.

Primary Accountabilities:

Leadership/Collaboration (45%)

  • Work with product marketing teams on the development of integrated marketing campaigns
  • Lead ongoing content creation including copy and graphics for website, blog posts, social media, thought leadership, and more
  • Lead the development of assets for organic and paid marketing efforts
  • Work with the product marketing team, designers and other internal teams in Jira to keep projects moving and on deadline
  • Calendarize content and work with team members to ensure Inmar’s external communications are balanced and well-coordinated
  • Work with Media Planner to ensure paid marketing materials are correct and on deadline
  • Work with the business unit to identify marketing opportunities that support business goals
  • Collaborate with writer, designers and product marketing team on all content creation, site updates, PR and surveys
  • Manage content distribution across all platforms, with a heavy focus on digital 
  • Stay up to date with marketing and content best practices and generate new ideas to engage the target audience
  • Build effective presentations to summarize marketing efforts, share new ideas, and/or evaluate opportunities

Influence (30%)

  • Influence the strategy for copy and graphic development
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop ideas for campaigns based on products and events 
  • Share industry research to stay on top of changing platforms, metrics, etc
  • Work with internal team and product marketing to ensure adherence to all established strategies, guidelines and best practices
  • Make data-led recommendations to the team, to product marketing, and management 
  • Troubleshoot problems as they arise, and coordinate communication of solutions

Technical (25%)

  • Optimize all content for SEO effectiveness
  • Leverage BrightEdge SEO platform for keyword research and to optimize website pages on inmar.com 
  • Support the Product Marketing team by providing guidance in creating search-optimized content
  • Build new pages, make updates, and maintain existing pages on Inmar.com
  • Publish press releases
  • Assist with paid media planning or execution as needed
  • Pull data from a variety of sources including Google Analytics, BrightEdge, Meltwater, and Social Platforms to evaluate marketing efforts
  • Create meaningful and actionable reporting and analysis on website performance, social media performance 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, or a similar field of study
  • 5-10 years of experience in a marketing role; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the major responsibilities/essential functions of the position
  • An understanding of design, copy and web best practices/guidelines
  • A strong understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing concepts
  • Good writing skills across a variety of channels and formats
  • Basic technical knowledge of HTML, web publishing, SEO, and web traffic metrics 
  • Organizational and time-management skills, the ability to multi-task and juggle multiple priorities and deadlines 
  • Understanding of social media platforms
  • Hands-on experience with Google Suite
  • Experience or exposure to media planning and buying principles
  • Experience in SalesForce, Pardot, Jira, Meltwater, Google, and Drupal a plus
