The Intranet Content Specialist (contractor) is responsible for managing the day-to-day tasks to keep Instructure’s company intranet updated and functional. Our intranet site is how each department communicates across the organization worldwide— through functional team updates and resources. In this role, you will help each team track and manage their content, as well as make updates such as missing links and documentation. This position reports to the Manager of Internal Communications and Community Relations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for content to be displayed on the intranet
  • Understands the organization, departments, the content available and content required
  • Is the owner of the “voice” of the organization
  • Schedules releases of content in alignment with the creative
  • Has User Interface Design experience, and can create dynamic imagery to be displayed on the Intranet
  • Can own the whole experience, while managing multiple organizational departments to consume data and content for display on the Intranet
  • Works with IT/Development group to identify and plan future enhancements to the Intranet
  • Identifies integration opportunities for existing technology to display content, reports, analytics
  • Reports on site analytics, areas of improvement, run reports to share with management and areas for enhanced opportunities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, Communications or related experience
  • Well versed or previous experience working with the software, Lumapps 
  • Solid Web-based communications and content management system experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage and deliver multiple tasks efficiently, effectively and on time in a metrics-based organization
  • Excellent writing, editing, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • A highly collaborative teammate who excels in a complex, matrixed environment
  • Able to work independently and be a self-starter, prioritize, multitask, and perform effectively
